I was watching a walkaround of a LS460 and saw that the door self vacumms itself shut if we dont shut it hard enough. Can someone else explain this concept to me. And is this feature standard on all new LS's?

It's not done with vacuum, it's an electric motor. As far as whether it's standard, I believe so, but not 100% sure.

well in the video it said a vacuum, but i didnt really think so either.

It's an option on the '07-'09 models (not sure about '10+).

It's called Power Door Closer and it's added for $325 (I think?).

If you get the option, will get the trunk closer button as well.

I realized my car had this just last week. I closed the door and it didnt close all the way when I went to do the "butt push" and I realized it was already closed. I opened it again and intentionally did it again just to watch it close all the way. I thought it was one of the coolest options I have. BTW, I have an 07

I think it's standard on the LWB, optional on SWB.

You act like this cutting edge brand new technology? Mercedes offered this a standard feature on the 1992 (yes 92) S class. It was an option on the LS430!
