Stuttering on hard acceleration - Anyone else?
Since i purchased my 2007 new it has been in the shop during routine and off schedule maintenance for a stutter during hard acceleration. It feels like turbo lag or like a carburetor clearing out. It is primarily in the 3000-6000 rpm range. They have adjusted transmission, checked multiple times and last time replace the oil with a new pure synthetic. Now i am waiting for the specialist from out of town to check next time on his rotation. Anyone else had this issue. I love this car but this makes me crazy!

It is just so interesting to hear how some of you have mechanical issues with your cars. In the 2 years of owning my car I have had zero issues...knock on wood! Hope they can fix quickly for you

Not sure about the stutter/lag, but I have noticed the "bump" feeling similar to the issue described in this TSIB:

Have yet to take it in to update the transmission control module.

Stuttering engine on hard accelleration
My dealer, Lexus of Palm Beach, told me that the solution from Lexus to this problem was to replace the head, if all else failed. I got some relief from adjustment of the transmission.

I have experienced this a few times in my 07 LS. It's not the transmission lag because I had that TSIB performed a couple months after purchase. Rather it seems like the car is on 50% power until you hit an upper rpm range and then the full power kicks in. Very strange and my car has only done it maybe 3-4 times in 3 years. I've never taken it in for the problem because it is still driveable and fully resolves itself by the next day. My guess is that it a computer glitch with the fuel injection (but I'm no mechanic). If it ever gets worse, I'll take it in.
