Default Toms Japan Linear Throttle Control System

Any of you guys used this programmer before? If it does what most do then i think it could set my baby off. I've read here that hacking the ECU is pretty much impossible, but wanted some opinions from you 460 experts on this unit. Thanks...

Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly does it do?

quite a few 2is and 3gs owners have them on their cars. i don't recall if any gs460 owners have them, but i know is250, is350, and gs350 owners with them.

you have to realize what this module does. it changes the mapping of your gas pedal to the sensitivity of the throttle. your engine management ecu part is not affected at all. what i mean is with this module (i believe it has few settings), for the same degree of pressure on the gas pedal, the throttle will be opened up more. so it increases the response of the throttle, that's it.

it's just like the POWER button on the new m3. it doesn't change the power of the or anything, except the throttle response to the gas pedal. when i drive my m3, with this feature on, i can press on the gas lightly and the rev goes up fast.

people i know who have this, they like the mod. they say the car becomes more responsive (obviously).

Did a lot of reading about SprintBooster today and it looks like I'm going to try it out. Not too many performance mods for our cars that plug 'n play.

BTW, I read on the IS forum that there's free shipping for CL members through August.

Sounds like a mod worth doing IMO. I had the "Hesitation on Acceleration" TSIB performed a few weeks ago and it improved my throttle response a little, but there is still too much of a lag between me hittle the pedal and my head leaning back. I'll look into the SprintBooster as well...thanks fellas

All Lexus orders are tagged to go out with free shipping on our website www.sprintboosterusa.com, and you will likely see your item arrive within 1 or 2 days. and from there you have 30 days to try our product. If your not besides yourself on how well your throttle response is, send it back and receive a full refund.

Lexus Sprintbooster units are our fastest growing demographic for the summer. Particularly in the IS circles. Sprintbooster was designed and engineered to combat lag. We have dedicated a lot of time and effort to tune each application just right. We are confident that this will likely be one of the best modifications for your vehicle and we want you to be the judge of that. You have 30 days to decide.

if it's anything like the 2is or 3gs, then it shouldn't be hard at all. it's just around the upper part of the gas pedal area iirc

Dont waste your money it does nothing at all.

i have the Blitz throttle controller on my LS 460 & Useless

I tried drag racing with a friends LS 460 before putting the body kit on and results were same, it says it delays the time response of the pedal.
