LS460 For 23 Year Old
Hey Guys,
I have a opportunity to purchase a mint lease return low mile 2007 Lexus LS 460 for wholesale through Hann Financial. I change vehicles frequently and while I will probably only have this car for a few months, I wanted to make sure it's worthwhile. I've never owned a Japanese luxury cars and all of my cars have been European. I've been super busy to go take a test drive and the Auction for the car I'm interested in is tomorrow. What do you guys think for this car for my age, and how this car drives, handles and behaves.

I'm 25 and I was 24 when I got mine. Couldn't be happier.
As for what you expect the car to offer, well I can't describe the quietness of the car and how pleasant the driving experience is.
I should note tho that if you're deep in love with the BMW's driving experience, you'll either need to prepare yourself for some significant adjustment or probably skip the LS altogether. Thats why it's a very wise idea that you testdrive the car before you commit, especially you're coming from the Euro zone of cars. Tho I'm pretty confident you'll love the experience.
The car is very responsive and gives so much power when asked for some. It's certainly less demanding than probably the least demanding Euro car you've ever owned.
There're some common issues you need you make sure that you wont develop an allergy to after the purchase. These issues include bad amplifier ($1,200 covered by warranty if your potential car has one), windnoise and lately the valve spring recall. You should read about the recall before you buy the car. It might be something that you wouldn't like to deal with. There is a dedicated thread for that on this forum.
Overall, the car is spectacular. And the ownership experience is so pleasurable. You just need to understand what you're getting with the car. Just dig and read and you'll get the whole picture before you spend a dollar.
Good luck.

I would like to know how people can possibly have the money at that young of an age to buy a car that expensive? I was 21 when I bought my first lexus ls400 and I only spent $11,400 on a 11 year old car. These LS460's are still upwards of a min of high 50's to low 60's with low miles. I am 30 years old now and I'm struggling as it is with my 2000 ES300 with 157,000 miles on it. I guess these people come from rich familys or something where their fathers buy the cars for them.

My nephew picked his up about 2 months ago. 07 460L at 25. He'd been planning on it for 2 years now but the insurance would have killed him so he waited to turn 25 and the wait paid off because he got a used one for a fraction of the price as apposed to new or almost new 2 years go. 23 is a good age.

I see the LS as more of a mid 30's business suit man type of car. For 23 i see a a 650 convertible or something sporty like that. But i got my 06' Lx 470 at 17 so as long as it looks nice and someone is paying for it then make the most of it.
