Default Trunk Adjustment

Is there anyway to adjust the tension level for the trunk? When I open it on a slight incline it will not stay open and starts to fall down. I tried to do a quick search but didn't come up with anything, sorry in advance if I missed it.

Thank you,
Ryan

You might need to replace the piston arms that support the trunk. This is normally needed after 7-10 years, so I'm shocked to hear of it happening on such a new vehicle.

Happens to me also. On my steep driveway, It'll power up halfway then drop down. PITA when washing it.

Mine is experiencing the same problem. When on a steep hill it opens all the way then starts falling and stops 2/3s the way closed. It makes it a pain to get things out since it will not stay open. Has anyone ever had this problem and fixed it?

I have the same problem, too. Talk to the dealer, the SA said it is a known problem but no solution.

Great, that you for posting this up. At least I know it's not just mine and that there is no known fix.

Free Fix: try facing the car in the opposite direction on a steep incline
