So, I went to the dealer yesterday for the first time and it was a wonderful experience. I see the bad experiences that people post whenever it goes bad so I thought I'd just post something on the brighter side.
First and foremost, my local dealer has to be one of the most well thought out dealers around. They have a children play area, a family room, spa, gym, bussiness area and deli. They even have a complimentary teeth whitening at the dealer while your car is serviced. I didnt walk the entire thing but I spent most of the time in the family room playing pool and watching the huge TV they have set up inside.
The staff was very professional and prompt with everything they did and check on me continuously to keep me updated on the progress of my car. Although the matter was not resolved (they had to order parts) it seemed that they were on point with everything they did.
I just wanted to share my experience at Lexus of North Miami and give them![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
.
BTW, the car went in for an error on the screen that reads (unable to read data) and they said they will have to order me a new nav which should be here in about a week.

Well, that might have something to do with it. I think that particular dealer might only be about a year old or so. They also have an "observation room" where you can sit at a nice chair and table and watch the techs work on your car from behind a glass. Nice set up and the people to go along with it.

I'm not exactly surprised. They have to complete with the #1 Lexus dealer in the world, about <1 hour north (JM Lexus). I'm sure the service rate charge more then covers the operation. What is it? like $175-200/hour?

Didnt look at the service rate but I'll be sure to look next time Im there. I've heard about JM as well and their service but like you said, its an hour north and Im about 15 min from LNM.

Funny, this is something that is mentioned in The Lexus Story book as one of the characteristics that all new (back in '89) Lexus dealerships would have in common. It didn't happen, so I thought no dealerships offered this, so this is awesome.

JM Lexus is still the best - I used to live it Fort Lauderdale and went there many times to buy a car. Never bought one - every time I negotiate and we didn't come to a deal. I drive down one exit and bought myself a Porsche at Champion. I was in the market for new SC430 back in 03 and bought a 02 Cabriolet instead.
It was funny because one week later I always come back to JM to show the car to Jim Moran when I was into yachting. He had a 'Gallant Lady'. We used to go on boat rides until I left the area around 05. He past away 07. He actually revolutionized the Lexus industry and Toyota as a whole.
I never did buy a Lexus until he past away.
