Default Is this normal?

2010 LS460L

When I floor the gas pedal there is a weird feeling in the gas pedal about half way to full. Feels like it sticks a little. Is this normal or are they all like this?

Thanks in advance!

Never noticed something like it. I get the same feeling regardless of how far I push the pedal.

Mine is '08 tho, if that would make any difference.

07 460L and I dont get that sticky pedal. How many miles are on yours? Might be something that does away with a little driving.

With most cars today the accelerator pedal operation provides an electronic input to the engine computer/throttle control. With the ignition off it is just a mechanical operation that has no lingering consequences. A good way to evaluate how this feels is to use your hand to operate the pedal with the ignition off. Your hand provides better feedback to your brain. And you should watch so that you have a better understanding of where in the pedal operation the unusual sensation occurs. Or I suppose you could do the same thing barefooted.

When I operate the accelerator pedal on my '07 with my hand, it is smooth and then I feel a sort of detent at about 3/4 depression. I think that is normal - the detent is sort of like the "afterburner" enable switch.
