The nearest dealer is about 80 miles away (takes an hour and fifteen minutes to drive there). Where we live (Arkansas) only has ONE Lexus dealer, so pretty much anyone who has a Lexus here has to drive somewhere.

If it's a CPO, get it and save the money vs. a newer one. As to the valve spring recall, I learned yesterday that Lexus only found 200 cars with the problem, although they are going to replace all affected VIN's whether a problem or not. Your folks would be covered. Lexus has the best CPO plan out there. Compare it with Mercedes CPO and you'll unerstand where I'm coming from.
