Having had my LS now for just a week, I'm still finding buttons that I haven't pressed yet I just found the ECO button and looked it up in the owner's manual. There wasn't much information except that the ecu programming is changed to regulate engine power and air conditioning output for better fuel economy.

Do any of you guys use the ECO mode and if so, can you feel the difference in power or AC performance? Does it actually improve fuel economy or is it a feature to make LS owners feel less guilty for driving a 4000+lb. luxury sedan with a V8?

Did I mention I love this car? So far in this week I have used a clay bar and waxed it twice, washed it 3 times.........and still had time to drive it a little.

I was just demonstrating the ECO mode to a friend this afternoon. There is a significant decrease in power relative to throttle input when in this mode. I use this mode in stop and go traffic on the interstate. I use the power mode at all other times. :-)

I use the ECO mode on my GX 460 and I can't tell any difference. My 2007 LS 460 doesn't have this option. I think it's gimmick and doesn't really do much. It tells you when you're using the gas pedal too much and the green light goes off. As far as cutting down power or air cond. not working as well, I can't tell any difference. I also tried it on a RX 350 loaner and couldn't tell any difference...

i use it all the time - it does decrease the pick-up substantially. But, i don't believe it saves much gas and my miles per gallon has been about the same. I have a pretty heavy foot.

until i saw this post, i forgot i had it on - am going to turn it off today.
