Hi everyone. Currently I own a 2001 LS430 UL but really drooling all over the 460. Having an Ultra Lux package really makes you babied with radar cruise, rear passengers love the recline and massage, air suspension and leather wrapped front console.
Now to get the 460 with all this is very hard - rarely i come by a car with most to all options. But, I've seen only very few with radar cruise control. Why is it such a rare option, even the lwb 460 rarely has it. It's an amazing feature when driving long distance.
How hard is it to get the options I want? Is this combination rare?
Options/packages that I really want are:
Comfort package
ML/navi package
Power trunk/doors
Preferred accessory package
Options that I want but can live without:
Advanced parking package
Radar cruise (I really want it but will make sacrifice if I like the car)
Comfort package plus

Sorry I didn't make it clear the first time. I'm looking at used 07 swb. I want to do my research first, just like before bying my 430. What is there to look for when test driving and considering a particular example? Are there any specific problems to look out for?
Thanks alot.

Your LS430 brings back memories. I gave my kid my old 2001 LS430 Ultra, it had every option available back then, great car.
I now have a 2008 LS460L, it has every option available as well, including cool box and drives like a dream. Only have 12,XXX miles, and enjoyed every one of them. I need to do the VSR soon but will wait a bit, since I want them to practice more.
Good luck in your search.

Radar cruise control only comes as part of the Pre-Collision System which was a $2850 option in 2007. I see you live in NY, and that is why you see so few. Lexus did not ship any program cars with the Pre-Collision option to dealers in any states that got snow. I found out from several sources that the reason was because snow and ice could interfere with the system (why anyone would be using radar cruise control in a snowstorm is beyond me, but so be it).
The Pre-Cllision System is the best thing ever. I would never own another car (except Ferrari) without it. So I had to special order my car and wait 4 months for it. If you scout for used cars in the sunbelt states, you will have better luck finding one than in the Northeast.
