Default LS460 Sport - Need Front Brakes at 15K Miles

Brought my '10 Sport into the dealer for the 15K service and to replace the OEM tires - tread's still okay but the tires are terrible. Got a phone call from them last night saying that the front brakes (Bembo's) needed to be replaced. Couldn't believe it. I've got a heavy foot but expected to get more than 15K miles from the brakes. They told me the rear's would be okay for at least another 5K miles and possible more. Quoted me $325 for the brakes.

By the way, I decided to go with the Michelin Primacy MXM4 All Season Grand Touring tires as the replacement. Fairly new but they got great reviews at Tire Rack.

I guess so. I'm not really complaining - just somewhat surprised. I really love the brakes - their the best I've ever had on any car I've owned. I thought the brakes on my BMW 550i Sport were good but these are head and shoulders better. Stop on a dime - very responsive.

I really have no issue with gettting them replaced once a year given how well they perform.

heavier cars are going to burn brakes and tires up faster. More to weight to stop and turn
