Checked the mail today & my $500 GC has arrived after having the recall work done back in Oct, PNC bank is running behind people so be patient. BTW my car is out of the factory warranty and I do not have an extended warranty. I will be using the $1500 certificate in the fall on a new RX350, I'm happy this chapter is closed.

I had the valve springs replaced in November. I don't see any difference in the sound of the engine or the way it drives -- it's always been smooth.
The $500 gift card arrived today from PNC!

You need to be the Registered owner of the vehicle so Lexus knows that you and your vehicle Vin are connected. If you have not registered because you bought the vehicle used and the previous owner/dealer is getting the paperwork, just sign up here https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/home
after you register, make sure you log in and add your vehicle so your VIN is now connected to your name and address profile.
Lexus may be sending these out via your vehicle registration, but this is a good idea to have anyways, you can also see all of the maintenance that has been done at a dealership to date.

Thanks, I was not aware of this site. I am able to see EVERY service any Lexus dealer has ever done on my cars.

I use it also to see the details about a specific VIN before I buy it.
You can just un-register the VIN on our account when your done and just save the service records so you can analyze them later. I found them to be the most accurate, CarFax was a total joke. Not to say you could not hide something here also, but its good for seeing dealership maintenance and recalls.

Had my work done in Nov. I got the $1,500 trade voucher and today I got the extended warranty extension paperowork for power train. I guess based on your formula, my $500 GC should be here in Feb I suppose. Nav update is badly needed..I'm still on the 2006 6.1v dbase...fail

Got it!
I did the recall thingie a few months back, got the $1500 credit towards a future car (one year time limit), and got my Lexus card with the $500. Already used it at my dealer... no problems.
Only Lexus goes to these lengths to fix their goofs.
They are nowhere near "perfection"... but they try.....
Car runs like silk at just about the 50,000 mile mark. Seems like it'll go for another 100K miles with no problems....

Exactly, car is registered to me and work was done while I owned it. I still dealt with the inconvenience. JG Wentworth says "ITS MY MONEY, AND I WANT IT NOWWWW" lol

I had my VS work done at the end of December and received the $500 card today. It appears to be a standard PNC VISA Debit card. The terms and conditions included with it don't state that its use is limited to the Lexus dealership. Under the Limitations on Use clause it says,
The "tips for card usage" section on the letter the card comes attached to is the only place that use at the dealership is referenced,
You may use your Card to purchase goods and services at merchants that have agreed to accept the Card and that are equipped with a point-of-sale terminal that can process Visa transactions. ...
The "tips for card usage" section on the letter the card comes attached to is the only place that use at the dealership is referenced,
Once activated, you may use the card for signature-based transactions at any accepting Lexus dealership
and... that (it) can be used toward the purchase of parts and services at your Lexus dealership.
Can I interpret the "may" and "can" to be suggestions for use? Seeing that this expires in a year and my Nav was just updated, I don't see myself needing $500 worth of purchases at the dealership in the next year. Has anyone had success using their card at a VISA merchants other than the Lexus dealership?Last edited by KYLS; 01-25-11 at 08:42 PM. Reason: added gift card image.
