Man, I really need to take my car on a road trip. 6 months and the most I've driven at one time was maybe 20 miles. I commute back and forth to work about 5 miles each way and thats it. We usually take the wifes Sienna but I guess we'll take my car on my next Orlando trip. I didnt know it was that fuel efficient.

Sounds like you hit the gas pedal instead of the brake? Traction light, increase in power, no brake pedal feel...

You make a good point, but that wasn't the case in this situation. There is no need to use the accelerator entering the garage, my foot was on the brake as the door went up and stayed on the brake as I entered the garage. The brakes would not work and the pedal went to the floor, no abs, no abs noise, no lock up, no pedal response.

Wow? Only 20 miles at a time? You need to fill up, make sure everything is reset, hit the turnpike, and roll up to Orlando sometime with your car. That will be a great stretch for you to see what we are talking about. First road trip I checked the display and was certain that there was an error when it read 29mpg. If my Rover read anything more than 17mpg on the interstate I was certain that something was wrong. LAUGHING.

Just make sure you have the invisible bra installed before you do long trips.

Good point. I don't have one, but oddly enough I don't get many rock chips on the hood. The chips happen in strange places like where the windshield meets the roof, or the top of the fender.

Which warning lights did you get on yours? Here's the thread of the warning light when it happened to mines, but after they fixed the warning light issue, the real issue still wasnt resolved.

I just had my abs acuator replaced at the dealer. I wasn't having braking issues, it just kept making a faint clicking noise. There's a LSB for it so it was completely covered...over $3k including labor and the loaner for that claim. The part was $2600 by itself. Brake failure is something I've experienced before (in another car) and it's one of the scariest moments. For those that hear or have heard that clicking coming from near the brake booster while braking take it in immediately, especially if this is a result.

Thank you for your response! I have taken the car in several times and brought this to the attention of the advisors only to get a look as if I told them that a bigfoot was in the service department rotating tires. Test drive after test drive, over night drives by techs, and a Lexus rep have done nothing to correct the problem other than I was told the click was the from the front and the click from the rear was a defective rear axle shaft.

My service rep is pretty understanding. Specially after I mentioned to her that Lexus has just paid out 10million for a runaway mishap. She said she would keep the car for a few days and have them check it. 2 days in and nothing, then finally on the 3rd, braking issue. But once the tech got back to the dealer, the issue had stopped. They called in a "master tech" and he drove the car for 2 days and the 3rd, brake issue. Now its constantly doing it. This coming monday will be 2 full weeks without my car due mostly to the holidays but I've been saving a bunch of money by driving their RX450h.
