My rule is update the Nav every 3 yrs if you don't travel a lot, my old Nav version was 6.1 so way over due. I would get the update plus you have the ML & you will get more than I did. I paid $284.08 out the door with $500 Lexus Loyalty GC, so no out of pocket cost to me with some spare change for future service visits.
