Blackhousing the headlights doesn't affect the output of your light. You simply spray the chrome bezel a flat black (or gloss if you prefer). I did it on my previous car. You go from this...

they must have done something else too because if leaving the TPMS out in the open, atmospheric pressure is low and will cause it to throw a code.
