You cant buy "old junky cars" and expect them to ride like new. Its luck of the draw at that point. My guess is there is some sort of computer issue that is causing your air suspension to be 100% all the time at the firmest damper setting, which is an issue that has happened here before. Replacing the struts wouldn't solve that problem.

2007 ls40l and shocks oem air shocks are like 4 months old now more or less and it rides terrible, it will be gone soon it's almost paid off. Just hit 100k Miles one of my biggest mistakes worse then the time I was bidding on a car as a Christmas gift on ebay and checked and didnt see it searched and bid again ended up with two nissan skylines in the driveway. They were horrible cars I felt bad giving one away as a gift they were so bad, bought a 300zx twin turbo and gave that instead..

Something is dramatically wrong with it then. I had two LS460s bought new, one was an LS460L with air suspension and now I have a 2020 Mercedes S560 that was bought new, and the ride of the LS460L with the air suspension is almost as good as the ride of my new S560, which is regarded as being perhaps the best riding car one can purchase south of $300k. An LS460L with air suspension is simply one of the best riding cars on the road period.

However compared to most anything else they are still smooth so am at a loss how a GT4 is better in the ride department when I know what those feel like. I would have to almost think the air struts are at max extension and pressure?

I agree with you on the dealer regularly failing to identify the real issue when you bring them something. I still just am shocked someone can run it down that quickly since even the "garbage" ones I have driven still are somewhat smooth if not a little clunky.

My LS has 155,000 miles with the original suspension. I think I can detect a little deterioration from new, but it is still excellent.
