AC carbin filter for cheap?

I paid $18 dollars on amazon.com. This looks like it's made out of metal wire, the one I bought is white. Same company.

White = paper only
Grey = paper + activated charcoal
Not sure which one is better but I think grey is better filtration

But j, using the OEM filter impacts very favorably upon the dealer's profit.
