I have seen a lot of talk about wind noise, B Pillar, dash rattle, valve springs, and other pain in the **** problems, but I can't seem to be able to pin anything down to the 09.

Could someone be so kind as to provide any links or lists of TSIB's for an '09.

I appreciate the help.

The triangle trim defect - the root cause of the wind noise problem in many LS460s/600s - occurs in the 09s too. Repair is easy and inexpensive.

Does the 2010 also have the triangle trim defect?

Any other issues like the engine valve spring?

I am looking at a slightly used 2010

On any of the cars, you should only be concerned about the trim if you perceive that the cabin noise isolation is impaired. There have been reports of the trim defect on 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 cars. I don't think it should be a consideration in the buying process.

1. Safecar dot gov is the US Dept of Transportation website. On that website....

2. Click on VEHICLE OWNERS on top, and on the bottom right hand side is the TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) link.

3. Clicking that link and making a VEHICLE type search for a Lexus LS460 2009 model year , brings up 4 TSBs.
