I don't know if mine has had this done. Is there a list of all the outstanding TSIB's for a 2008 LS460?

Tom thanks for your help and all of the info. I am planning on a doing a full review on all of the tsibs I have had done and the results. This way it will be easy for other members to get the same info. My service advisor was kind enough to send me pics of the drivers seat and passenger seat after the fix. The interesting thing is that the drivers side come with the pad and cover and has to be put together by the tech, whereas the passenger side comes with the pad and cover assembled. Therefore we get the wrinkles in the drivers side but the passenger side seems tight as a drum ( just like stock). I think this is strange. My concern is what the leather will look like when it ages . The lose fit of the leather will cause some serious wrinkles and creases. My service advisor told me that the tech spent 2.5 hours on the drivers seat alone to try and get it as good as possible. I will post some pics tonight

I also noticed the grain of the leather to be rougher. I assume these leather replacements are supplied by U.S. supplier rather than the leather originally put on at the factory in Japan. One of the side bolster's leather is really rough and I would think that if this was at the factory, it would not pass quality control.

FYI, when I had mine done the service rep. told me there is a there is a 12 month warranty on repairs. You may be be able to have them remove the wrinkles when it it warmer.

Thanks for the note; you may be able to have them remove the wrinkles under the 12 month warranty they have on repairs.

I have gotten used to the wrinkled leather, it's not that bad. Besides, I can't see it when I'm driving , comfort is more important.

You can buy a list from ALLDATAdiy.com.
I think the cost of $16 isworth it.

What is the bottom line on TSIB? Does Lexus change the parts in the tsib's or just inspects the item, then makes a determination weather to fix?
Reason I ask is: I called my service writer at West Kendall Lexus and asked him about the navigation upgrade price. After he quoted me about 350.00, I then told him that I would also like my B-Pilars changed to the upgraded ones once I was there. He told me that even though there is a TSIB out for the pilars, that wouldn't mean they would get changed. What are you guys/gals doing to get the TSIB's done? Should I damage the pilar's and get them done under warrantee or what?

Its tricky .I think if you are lucky and have other dealers in your area you can shop around and try a few dealers.Trying to convince a dealership is tough when they dig their heels in. Id try another dealer.
