Glad to hear you got your ride back.

A few years ago, our CEO had his 12-month old 745i at the dealership for service. Got stolen off the lot, and the dealership kindly replaced it with a brand new 750i. Maybe someone will walk off with my 460L next time it's in so I can land a 600hL...

As far as I know the other customer noticed immediately that the car sitting in his driveway this morning wasn't his and called the dealer. So I don't think he drove it.

Yea we can all dream.... the inconvience of the whole ordeal is worst part... not to mention if they stole your vechicle and you had personal items or work documents in it.

wow! That's crazy.

Lexus should update their maintenance schedule and tail end every maintenance recommendation with: "Get the car back from the other customer's driveway."

Now that's funny. I am still waiting on the car by the way, it is quite a drive from where the thing is.

How 'big' is this dealership that they can justify an excuse like that? I mean it has to be a 300+ car lot to BS something like that.

Otherwise i'd be like 'f*** that, go get your lot lizard to fetch it for me'

It's a big dealership, their back parking lot looks like that of a medium Walmart.

Remember to have the dealer tack on the wasted miles to your warranty. Good Luck.

Am I the ONLY one here who thinks this is NO BIG DEAL; an honest mistake that happens? No, I wouldn't like it if it were my car, but the didn't wreck the car, didn't damage the car, just misplaced it (to another honest customer). I just don't think this is that "crazy" as many of you do.

If I had a big service bill and they refunded it, and the car was fine, I'd have to be alright with it. Maybe throw in a few oil changes or something.. Going in and wanting your warranty extended for those extra miles is a little "crazy"
