Default anybody know how to disassemble the upper half of the driver side pillar?

i have an extremely annoying rattle coming from the top half of the driver side pillar... right near the seat belt mechanism. it doesn't seem to be coming from the movement of the seat belt guide or anything related though... it seems to be coming from somewhere else behind the cover.

anybody have instructions on how to take apart the top half of the pillar or know where i could find them?

thanks.

they're just put on with clips...
if you have a tool like this:

it would help out a lot...
but basically, you have to use something to pry it off

my guess would be that there's a broken tab or something loose behind there

forgot to mention you have to take the bottom part off first

i would move the seat all the way forward then pry from the bottom

there's the AC vent behind there so don't pull too hard. it's pretty straight forward once you get it off

actually, for what he wants to do you really don't NEED a pry tool

if you take off the molding, you can use your fingers to just pull off the bottom then the top...

agreed..but if they've never been removed before it could be murder on your fingers...lol i only use plastic bcuz wires run everywhere in cars.. as not to pinch wires..or damage panels..(but i've also broken panels w plastic, metal tools as well as fingers)

plastic and my fingers are definitely what i'll use to pry.

i'll start with the bottom piece and then move to the upper.

so there are no screws or anything i need to remove? it's all tabs and clips that just pull apart?

thanks for all the advice.

the bottom i know for a fact is all tabs...no screws
the top i haven't taken apart for a few months (i had my entire interior torn apart a few months ago):

but if i remember correctly, it's all clips...
