No sound come out of the speakers just popping ()... driving all of a sudden popping sounds came out of the speakers. Just dont understand, music at a normal volume-does anyone have any idea of what this could be and is there a quick fix?

Does any audio button on your touch screen work? ie balance,bass,treble etc. If not then more then likely it's your amp. You said there's no sound or music?

Is it loud and scare the heck out of you? If yes, then it is probably your Mark Levinson Amp. This happen to my 2001 LS430................replaced the Amp($1,000 at Lexus Dealer) and the popping noise gone.

Yeah Silverpaws, it was the amp. Took it to the lexus dealer and it was covered under warranty. 4 other Ls 460s at the dealer for the same thing. I think these "amp" should have been recalled a long time ago imo..

I was driving and all of a sudden I heard this kind of crackling sound and then the base went completely out! I checked all the fuses and all are good. What is more likely the issue? Amp? Subwoofer? Radio? I’m pretty handy and would like to try to fix it. Listening to straight treble sucks! Please help guys!
