I am new here and have picked up some good intel reading your forum.
My general question is 07 versus 08. I'm looking at an 07 with only 29k miles or an 08 with 41k miles both are about $40k from CarMax.
Forgetting about the pros/cons of Carmax specifically, can you provide me any insight as to the relative values of those two units?
On a related topic, I have a Vaistech unit in my 01 LS430. Do either the 07 or 08 have an iPod interface that is as fully functional as the Vaistech? Or, will I be adding a Vaistech to either car?
Thanks for any feedback.

based on the what I have read, try to get a late 08 produced model. Also look for "Lamisafe" on the front windows of the SWB model. I get the impression that some of the fixes and bugs are less on the late 08s. But, if you get an 07 and it is under warranty, print out the TSB list and "get updated" like I did with my car.

What are the "TSB"s and how would I get the list?
Also, I asked a Lexus dealer if they would show me the service record on a unit from a non-Lexus dealer and they said they would not. Does that make sense? I didn't ask them, but I assume they would show me the service record if I owned it and brought it in for service.
