Default Need Help!! 22" Tire Recommendations

Ok so I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of 22'' but was wondering what are some of the tires you guys are rolling on. I was looking to see how the comfort of the ride and also the quietness are between the brands.

I'm rolling on Continental Sport Conti 2's 265/30/22 and 295/25/22 rears. I guess they are as quiet as can be for such low pro/wide tires. Definitely more road noise compared to my stock sized michelins, but not unbareable, and I only noticed it for the first day that I switched.

Thanks. I will add that tire to my research. I have been trying to get reviews online and most reviews for the tires I have been looking at have been on more sport cars, like Michelins PS2, Toyo Proxes 4, and Nitto Invo. Im about to drop some good money on wheels and dont want a cheap tire.

My buddy's got the Nitto Invo's 22's on his 535i and he raves about them. I went with the Continentals this go around because I've never tried them before.

Continental DWS...TREAD WEAR 540!!!!!!!!!! It cant be beaten if you are running a 245/30/22 and a 295/25/22. INVOs are great but will wear out quickly and give you that summer tire whirling sound as they age. Trust me when I say I did a lot of research into this

Yea sorry to leave that out, we live in FL, so summer tires are all we buy.

However the Conti DWS does and is the only one (I believe) to offer a 6 yr/50,000 mile treadlife warranty. So thats a bonus, you usually dont see that in these types of tires.

265/30/22 and 295/25/22 INVOs and cant complain. I did hear somewhere about the wear but as often as I drive the car, I figure they'll last me about 10 years anyways. It was one of the few tires the shop carried that was a set in 265 and 295

my 265s up front dont rub. I've done 305s and 315s in the rear and no rub, but my special circumstance on the rear is that I've cut and redone my rear wheel wells. But the 295s were plenty wide in the rear and no rub from the factory. I just wanted more. ;-)

No riding stock height. I drive alot and dont need the added worry of the car bottoming out and tires rubbing and causing a potential blow out.

There is no tire that offers tread wear rating in these sizes. I live in AZ so trust me when I say we get less rain than you do and have temperatures that will shame Florida. Summer tires dont need to be used in hot climates. All season are fine and will not make that loud whirling noise as they spin when they get older. Trust me, I have tried every summer tire in the book and nothing will hold up even close to a AS tire. I have tried Nittos, kumhos, michelins, Continentals, Pirelli, Hankkok,....and there is nothing that has tread life like these Conti's.

I have been feeling like the 245's in the front could be wider and have been curious about the 265/20/22 but dont like the fact that the front tire will be significantly fatter than the rear. The diameters are not the same. 245 /30/22/ matches the 295/25/22 almost exactly . The other thing is that if I switch to a wider size I will not be able to stick with the Continentals and I dont want to go back to summer tires .......ever. I have had 2 lowered cars for the last 9 years and was constantly changing tires every 9-10 months and had to repeatedly return for rebalances. I dont want to go back to that crap anymore. I want to drive my luxury car retaining its luxury. That luxury goes beyond silent interiors and nice suspension stroke. For me right now, it also includes the luxury of not having to replace tires every 9 to 10 months. My G35 and my Gs were tire eaters . I can only imagine what a car that weighs about 700 to 1000 lbs more than my previous cars will destroy a cambered tire in no time

correction: I just checked rack and they do make the continentals in 256/30/22. It seems like they would be fat looking. Can you post any pics of your car up close???? Thanks so much
