Cost to upgrade from Non-Navigation to Navigation?
So the LS I'm getting comes without Navigation & it looks like the only otpion would be to go with the OEM Navigation. Anybody know how much of a PIA this would be and the cost? Any places I could pick up the OEM Navigation from? I was also wondering I could just buy the navigation dash piece & get an aftermarket In-Dash. I just want navigation & an In-Dash, what would be th best route to go and the cost?

Dont even bother dude the dash looks completely different without one. unless you want to go after market head unit route I say keep looking at the ones with navi. I didn't even know they did them like that.

Well I'm getting this one from my mother. She's getting a new Jag & I'm talking her LS460 with only 22k miles on it. There's about 32k left to pay on it I believe, which would be a steal hence why I'm going with this car. The car is fully loaded other than no navi which is a bit aggravating. Would an aftermarket unit work with these cars? I'm not familiar with how complicated these cars are & if it would take well to an aftermarket unit.

it could probably be done by a VERY HIGH END stereo shop.... but if u do it.. dont skimp.. id do some research an see who the best in town is.. an go there.. look at all the pics of theyre work an if they think they can do an oem quality job then proceed.. option 2 would be replace the rear view mirror w something like this

I seen one without the nav and the center piece looks like a 1st or 2nd gen ls400. I really do not think it is worth the hassle, I mean by all means if that is a good deal do some research and see price difference between nav and no nav.

Garmin Nuvi, and aftermarket stereo to make up for the lack of Mark Levinson/HK. I wouldnt personally mess with it, and Im a car stereo nut, However in this car my stereo is stock ML. Not because I think its perfect, but because I just dont want to tune all the channels and rip out my NAV.

32k for an 09 with only 22k miles on it is a steal. They're usually going for $45k+ with 30k miles.

I would personally look for a 07 or even 08 that is actually fully loaded AND has CPO for around 30k which you should be able to find though it will have higher mileage...thats my opinion...
