Default Brake noise

I have a LS460, 2008 bought new. From the start I have heard a very dull clicking, or tapping noise only when I press lightly on the brakes at slow speeds. The brake actuator was replaced about a year ago, and the noise stopped. A few month ago it returned. It is getting worse as time goes by. When I took it to Lexus last month, the mechanic said he could not hear the noise, and the car had the updated actuator. As my warranty expires in a few months, I do not want to have an expensive problem later. Anyone else had this problem.

I have same issue. Not sure what exactly it is. It's coming from right front side and you can hear it very clearly with window down.

it could be the brake pads as a gap could cause the clicking from the pistons hit the back of the pad. if you went with aftermarket pads that can be case where shims are needed to correct the gap.

I have the exact same problem. I bought a new 2008, had the actuator replace and the noise went away. Now the same noise is back (off and on) and the dealer can not reproduce the noise. I'm waiting for it to get worse, then I plan on taking it back for for repairs. Was Lexus replacing the actuator with a new model, or was is it the same as the orginal?

They told me there is a third generation part. but look at all of OUR money we have to throw at THEIR real SOLE car deficciency.. Again shame on Lexus for not offering the part for a few hundred bucks. Then we would have a $1000 repair. Then no mad Lexus owners, $1000 IS in the Lexus comfort zone
