as far as opinion... i was a passenger in a friends car (more wheel than sense) & oem brakes.. long story short i have a steel rod in my rt femur bcuz the car couldnt stop in time..

SO BRAKES SAVE LIVES!!!!! IMHO or at least legs in this situation
Man, sorry to hear that happened. I guess one of the take aways from this is that if you're going to modify your car, especially upgrading the wheels, don't just stop there. You should upgrade the suspension and braking. For me, I'm always braking early and I never tailgate, guess I just want to avoid rock chips Don't know if upgraded brakes would helped or did he just not brake in time, but again, sorry to hear that happened.

it was a bit of both.. improper driving habits, lack of braking ability..oversized wheels, cheap tires..i believe all things happen for a reason..(no hard feelings)

Putting on slotted rotors isn't really an upgrade. A BBK is an upgrade. Slotted rotors help with heat but have less surface area over a solid rotor. The LS460 has big OEM brakes but with 24's I would want the added safety of the added rotational weight. Just my opinion though..

I have to say that my Brembo BBK does stop the LS460 shorter than the OEM setup. Sucks your eyeballs out of their sockets

i had it on my ls460l too. the bite was harder, especially because of the ss line. but when it comes to braking distance, only real measurement can tell for sure
