thought this was a dead thread until i check recently and saw some new posts. I could have sworn i posted some pix up the drill holes with the written diy but i guess i didn't. Don't have the pix in my phone no more so all is lost i guess. lol

Kids works and a new 360 spider kept me from logging back on much to this site for updates.I'm more on the ferrari chat driving people nuts with what I'm doing to my itialian blond than anywhere else.

Updates on my original diy though. the rears are still trash after 20-30k miles so no help with those. its a pretty complicated setup 8-10 multi link or some bizzard japanese geometry i icouldn't /wouldnt wanna mess with. best bet is rotate/flip your tires after 1/2 used up so you get more milage out of them or go with coil overs and raise them up a bit. shame for me i trashed the first set cause i didn't see the inside wear until it was too late and still have 9-10/32 (yes almost new) left on the middle of the tire.

Front tires i installed at around 6k miles . put almost 30k on them before i noticed the inside wear and did the diy job. i flipped them and was suppose to change them out, but now i have about 50k on the car and it starting to pull a bit right so time has come to get a new set in the near future and get an alignment. ill post the numbers when thats done. yeah i promised to do that after the diy but never got around to it. I ***** you not, car still drives like a dream now and i have almost 45k on one set of front tires, could go 50-60 k but I'm not going to push it.

any feedback on the factory lexus bracket they sell would be nice. The drill and bolt method i did works great but i assume the factory bracket get it close if not better and much more piece of mind. Im more of a measure once cut twice cheapskate bastard so i did it myself, but had i known about the factory brackets, i probably would have considered it.

Thanks for replying man! The factory arms only help about 20%, but we need a true adjustable solution. We have a thread about that topic now begging for vendors to make something and I did an in depth write up on Tanabe install and brackets

I'm also ordering new control arm brackets and would like to see pictures on where to modify it. Pushing it out .75" would help save some wear - right now im around -3 on the fronts.

Wait..hold up..where are you getting adjustable control arms from for a 460?

As far as we know, no such thing exists except for these $10K ones from Japan on Yahoo Auctions

The ones from the dealer. Not adjustable but just different specs.

Im talking about buying the +2 plate assembly brackets that the control arms bolt to - and modifying those similar to what Tony did.

LOL. reviving a four year old thread, probably won't get you much feedback from that member.

Well this suck. We installed the plates on both sides and got crazy camber and caster specs. The LS460 is on coilover.

Both sides of the LS got upper arm replacement, and lower arms replacements, including outer tie rods and no cigar.

Driver side has -2.5 Camber / -10 Caster
Pass side has -2 Camber / -7.9 Caster

How?
