Default air conditioning

Hi everyone. My name is Sebastian , i'm from Canada and I just bought my first Lexus (2009 LS460 awd).I've been snooping around the Club Lexus for a while now and i think this club is the only way to go for any Lexus owner. I have two questions for you guys : 1.The steering wheel moves in and out when turning the car on and off.Can this feature be disabled? 2.I think my AC is always on even if I have it turned off - I think that because when i park there is water under my car from AC condensation.Silly question- is it my AC and how do I turn it off ?. Oh , and thank You for having me on this great forum !

AFAIK, you can't disable the steering wheel movement
You can push the "Climate" button, then select "A/C" When the yellow bar disappears, the A/C is off

Thanks for reply jlawr - I was hoping there would be another way of turning off AC. I'll get to the bottom of this one way or another.Thank you again.

There may be differences for the 2009 model year but for the 2011 the driver's seat auto movement when exiting the vehicle can be set to on/off/partial using the vehicle customization screen of the Navi setup screen. To access this push the Setup button then touch Vehicle Settings and then touch Vehicle Customization

The steering wheel auto away and return function can also be set on or off but is one of the settings that only the dealer can access - don't ask me why! So if you really want to disable these functions you will need to ask your dealer to do so. I love this feature and use the function fully on.

I agree with jlawr regarding the turning the a/c on and off. If you don't have the Navi touch screen there is an ac on/off button on the panel. Why would you be looking for another way to turn it on/off?

The reason why i'm looking for another way is because my AC is on ALL THE TIME (when it's turned on or off).I think i'll have to take it to my dealer to deal with.Other than that i love this car. i'm a little overwelmed by it - i was always a "honda guy" up to this point and this vehicle is in another level.
