Default Biggest tire for ls460

What size is the biggest (tallest) tire size that can be fitted onto he LS460?
I want to have a little more air cushion to help out with the rough ride. I think the current (stock) size may be too thin.

? I'm sure Lexus has spent plenty of money researching the proper tire size for this car. Are you just wanting a bigger factory tire? You say you have a rough ride. You may need to go to the dealer for service because this car's ride is definitely not rough.

the stock size is a 50 series... that tire sidewall is massive. maybe check your suspension or tire air pressure?

I have given up on the dealer.. EVERYTHING is "normal" to them...The last 4 times, I have to take it another dealer 4 hours away to do anything. Houston Lexus dealership (Sterling Mccall) is total bs!

anyways, 55 series wont' clear?

How 50 series is massive? Last generation LS it has 60 series isn't it?

It's massive if you compare it to the 25 series that we run on these 22's LOL im sure you can run a larger series tire though.

Seeing how high the LS is and how much of a gap it has, I'm sure a 55 series tires will fit fine. But IMO the stock tire size is more then enough.

Hmm, my LS is dropped on 20s and still one of the smoothest cars I have ever driven...could be the tires, a major factor in ride comfort

By today's standard in the luxury, sport sedan, 50 series tires are considered pretty tall. Most MB, BMW, Audi's run 45 and 40 series tires stock.

The LS is already super smooth and the tires give lots of cushion.

I have 255/50/18 on the stock rim now with 0 issues at all - putting on 255/40/21 tires tomorrow. takes it to 29 inch diameter (1 inch more diameter than the 255/50/18's) - well see if i pushed things too far lol.

Well they definitely took some out of the gap nicely, but I didn't think the 1/2" lift would make such a visual impact. Sort of reminds me of a BMW X6 now.

haha yeah. I think the tint in the front corner of the lights and the rear tint on the brake lights doesnt help the visual either (And it being in a driveway at an upward angle)

This pic looks great! And I actually like how your tail light lenses turned out. The driveway angle definitely had a somewhat distorted effect. Also, if that driveway pic was taken right after the wheels were put on and taken off the jack, sometimes they tend to sit higher until the car is driven and the suspension settles back down. Nice job brother!

This was mine a while ago taken in SUV mode. LMAO

haha nice! yeah the driveway pic was taken literally 10 min after the treadconnection.com mobile guy left. Here's another shot during the daytime.

It's like night & day!
Really looks sweet, I bet you're pretty stoked with the stance and how she rides now compared to before.
