New to the forum, can anyone confirm if there’s any issues in riding staggered tire set up on AWD? I’m used to BMW wheels set ups where the ideal front/rear comparison has a rolling diameter less than 1%. Looking to get some Tesla wheels

So long as the overall diameter of all the wheels is relatively close, should not pose any issues. Many have done this over the years, and I don't recall any posts reporting any adverse wear/effects. Here are a couple recent posts of members who installed Tesla wheels but cannot recall if on AWD. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...s-460-a-2.html

Appreciate the response. I saw the second set up but didn’t come across the first link, thanks for sharing.
I found a deal on some Tesla wheels 21x8.5 et40 and already purchased hub centric rings and new acorn lug nuts. Just not sure whether I need spacers to clear…did some research but could not find an answer.

Spacers were used but not sure if for clearance or for more of a flush fit. Since +40 is fairly high for these cars, it could be the reason for either or both.

Thanks, I guess I’ll have to test fit them to check! Here’s a pic!

That style Tesla wheels are probably my favorites, and yours appear to be in very good condition. That's what I would do too, test fit them first to see if clearance is an issue, and if not, to see how they look and drive. Please post pics once you have them on because I enjoy seeing our cars with different wheels, upgrades, etc.
Finally had the chance to install the Tesla wheels! I’m going to use this post for all of those who wish to use the same set up since other posts were not 100% clear on what’s required to fit these.
What’s required at a minimum:
- Hub centric rings (64.1mm to 60.1mm)
- Acorn bulge lug bolts
- Minimum 5mm spacers in the front to clear the brake calipers
Even with 5mm the wheel still slightly rubbed against the caliper but I guess it’ll sand down on its own. I used universal hub centric spacers from Amazon. I also used 5mm in the rear to match the front, but spacers are not required to clear the rear calipers.

Hi all, I’ll be parting ways with my LS460 without the Tesla wheels. That said, if anyone is interested in the parts needed to fit Tesla Model S wheels on the LS, it’s up for grabs!
What are you going to do about center caps? I am stumped on mine!!
