Default brake problem?

Hey Guys, I have been to two dealers and they have replaced the ACTUATOR twice and also the STROKE SIMULATOR but the problem is still there. So now they told me that it is normal for the LS460. Can you guys please see if you guys can hear the same thing i am hearing coming from the brake pedal area on your car? I can duplicate the noise whenever i am backing up the car and made a sudden hard stop (you would hear a small thump noise). Or you can shift the car into drive and let go of the brake, as soon as you let go of the brake just make a hard stop. You can also hear the thump noise that way. You might have to do it several times to confirm the noise, the noise is very obvious and I was told by the technician at the dealer that the noise is even louder if you are sitting on the passenger side, WEIRD. Thanks in advance for helping guys!!!

Brian, I don't think it is normal either. The Actuator was replaced once at Lexus of Westminster and the 2nd time at Newport Lexus. Do you think we can meet up to confirm the noise on my car with yours? I am also in the OC area.

I'll try and diagnose/duplicate that sound tonight when I get home, but I guess I've never had to slam on the brakes since I've owned this car. A meet up would be fine, except for the fact that right now is tax season and I'm completely jammed up at the office.

sounds like the actuator..my car makes a faint noise that is consistent with actuator TSB..tried to get it replaced but was past 4/50 warranty. I was told the noise is an irritant but not a functional concern to the car. This actuator is $3K or something crazy like that

i think the actual part is $1800 but there's a ton of labor involved in bleeding the brakes on these cars

Brian, thank you very much! I do understand you are busy, whenever you are free just let me know. I will swing by so that we can check it out. You don't really have to slam on the brake, as soon as you let go of the brake, just instantly tap on it again and you will hear the a thump noise.

Guys, two actuators has been replaced. I am afraid it is something else.

Again, thank you very much for all the help!!!
