2008 Cabin Filter Change
Hey Guys,
I'm not the best when it comes to any type of car repair. Does anyone have a good instruction manual on how to replace the cabin air filter and then reset it?
I ordered one online and ready to install!

Easy, open the glove box and remove all your stuff from in there. The shelf that splits the glove compartment in half is removable. You can give it a good tug upwards and it comes off. Then there's a little cover behing that which simply slides out as well. The air filter sits right behind that opening. Just simply pull up on the filter and it comes out. To reset the warning, turn the ignition to on, then press and hold either the AUTO or OFF button on the AC control until you hear 3 quick beeps. Its one of the other. I've seen threads that say its AUTO and some say OFF. Mine was OFF.
Please don't perform this change before you set the climate control system to the recirculation mode.

I apologize for hijacking OP's question, but I have a 460L but I cannot find the second filter mentioned. I have looked everywhere in the trunk, but I don't think I have it. My car is long wheelbase, with the rear heat/cool reclining seats, but I do not have the radio/AC controls on the rear armrest; I assume that means I don't have the rear AC filter?

What happens if its not set to recirculate? I guess I didnt notice anything because I keep my AC on recirculate anyways. Hate being behind cars and truck and having that exaust smell come in.

From what I have gathered on these boards, it damages the blending door if you try to open the filter hatch

I'm gonna have to start charging a "manual reading" fee.
