I don't get it. This car is the king of cars, period. Consumer Reports rated the LS460 the best car ever. I had an '07 and now an '09AWD. My father in Florida has an '11 that he traded his '08 for. Bulletproof and solid. Don't let minor quarks ruin the best drive ever.

I loved my 430 but the 460 is much better!

The 460 looks a lot nicer than the 430. It has a lot more power than the 430, but I agree, the seats were much better in the 430. I agree, the interior isn't built as well in the 460 compared to the other LS's I've owned. The trunk is also too small in the 460 as well...

That is surprising, my car is quiet and rattle free. Did you or the dealer ever take the interior apart? What rattles in the car? I wouldn't be happy if I had a $120k car that rattled.

I meant that maybe the rattles are there because he or the dealer took the interior apart for some reason or maybe it was in an accident.

nothing in the service history implies that any interior piece was ever removed. the car's a super super early build, though

I still think my LS is the best car I have ever owned but the seats and the wind noise just show me that the LS is not as perfect as I thought it would be. I kind of felt the same way about my GS350. Good car but did not live up to the insane Lexus reliability reputation. What owning 2 higher end Lexus sedans has shown me is that there is no perfect car and Lexus is not perfect either

might just require some sound insulation or just tracking that down. my fx45 was like that untill i took the interior apart and insulated it with dynamat, nothing that I wanted to do but I was building the sound system so i thought I might as well do that while it was apart, but that car was no part quite like the 460 exhaust was load enough.. just some things to think about.

i'm sure i could get rid of all the rattles on the car, but at this price range should i really have to pull apart interior trim and put foam tape everywhere?

I had a shop add padding to the seats on my LS430 when it was new. The padding added more support to the center upper part of my back since I'm 6' 3". Lexus paid for the work, but times were better in 2003. The LS has been super reliable and quite for 9 years and counting.

The whole LS team fired? I really doubt that. The car other than "Wind Noise" has been perfect. Luckily ive never had rattle issues. Cheez are you the original owner? Was the car ever wrecked? Where are the rattles coming from? If the took the doors or dash apart without installing new clips you will get rattles. I always have the stereo shop install new clips when taking the door panels off. One reason I bought my Lexus was q quite interior. Now the 3gs interior rattles are the norm so I hear.

Wind noise is such a serious issue on my car

I'll gopro and upload the video sometime this week

I had a Cobalt with less wind noise....

FWIW the wind noise happens in a particular direction because of the way the air channels flow through (over?) the car, I can reproduce the issue 100% of the time when driving on a specific road (east/west versus north/south)
