Just between me and you, my thoughts are that a GTR is not a good daily driver car, but more of a weekend / fun car. That noise will take a toll on you after a while - it definitely IS fun at first.

I am still a bit up in the air on the GTR. After the memory of the acceleration wore off I started remembering how harsh the ride was and how noisy the tires were. After driving it and getting into the LS it was like I had jumped into a pool of marshmellows. Soft, comfy, and very very quiet. My wife is still leaving the decision up to me. I feel bad though because the salesman keep texting me to come back into run some numbers on the car. I was planning on buying a new one 2 years ago and I took the ton of money I had saved for the car and dumped it into my business remodel and adding advanced diagnostic equipment. It was money well spent but I still feel like I want the GTR.......but I have a feeling the LS has more realistic staying power. We will have to see. I am supposed to go down and look at the car again tomorrow

You know, it's possible to have a cheaper, go fast car that is a Lexus and has some creature comforts. Ever think about doing an SC300 and putting the running gear from a Toyota Supra in it? They share a lot, and you could have a car that doesn't have to be loud as hell, can absolutely scoot, and you can set it up to handle pretty damned good too. They can be made to look a lot sportier with some tasteful options, and at the same time you can be pretty stealthy with it too. I have a few buddies here where I live that have a speed shop and they've done a lot of them. One of the guys is one of the fastest Supra builders out there. It's pretty awesome to take a ride in a 700+ HP stealthy car that can blow the doors off of just about anything on the street and watch their eyes pop out when you do.
