Default Looking to purchase 2010 LS460 L

Looking to purchase a 2010 LS460 L with 15k - 20k miles. What is a good price? Assuming MSRP of $80k, RV is probably 70% after 2 years so I would think $56k is reasonable. Also, if I buy new, what is avg discount on the L? Thanks for your insights.

A good starting point is to go to Edmunds, Kelley and NADA, plug in the car you want and see what their valuations are like. Then when you actually spot a car you like, use those sites to gauge the deal you should get.

NoSpinzone gave you great starting advice.

Then, if it were me ......

If it was me, I'ld look FIRST for lowest mileage possible ....... and then only if it was a CPO LS460.
AutoTrader makes it easy to do that search.

And Southwest Airlines is ready when you are ! Seriously !

In the long run, you'll actually save $$$. -

DO NOT be afraid to buy from a Good Dealer in some other part of the US ! Most importantly, many "outside your local area dealers" may have a FAR BETTER deal than a local dealer when it comes to MILEAGE and PRICE.

Best Wishes whatever your choice, Mikey Lulejian - Lake Oconee, GA

Ditto on the comments above. In addition, for what it's worth, I will share that IMHO, other than for the extended warranty, I am not a believer in CPO programs, particularly for a newer vehicle.

Yes, they will change all the filters and - in theory - replace things that are worn over 50%, etc. In practice, however, I have seen way too many disturbing data points that contradict the theory, if you know what I mean.

It all depends on the dealership, so I don't want to paint with too broad a brush, but the reality is that if you are looking at a newer vehicle with lower mileage AND a solid service history, why would you want to pay so much extra for CPO when you can turn around and buy an extended warranty?

In any case, I bought my 2008 in TX, sight unseen, through eBay and had it shipped 1,500 miles to the Northeast. NOBODY who knows me could believe it, given how particular I am about cars. I asked a ton of questions, the car was right and it had a PERFECT service history. A bit more mileage than I would have liked (40k) but still under factory warranty.

I have had to deal with a LOT of issues, but Lexus has come through on each and every one of them, and none of them had anything to do with neglect, abuse or any other problem. Each of the issues entailed replacement of faulty parts. The kick to it all: not a single one of these components (many of them major) would have been caught or replaced in a CPO inspection - no chance, given what it actually took to diagnose all the issues. The rest of this story is for a different thread, but my main point is that I agree with others in that if you find the right vehicle, it does not matter where you find it (within reason).
