Smile what should I pay for this LS460L

Hi fellow LS owners,

I used to have 2005 LS430 Modern Lux which i sold to get 2010 535i M sport and now i am trying to get back to my original love - the Lexus LS. I have found this car I am interested in and dealer is asking 49995 for it. I think its a bit too high as i have priced the car on KBB/NADA and checked ebay.
What do you guys think I should pay for this car if I go for it. Also it has air suspension and do you guys recommend any after market warranty on it since its out of original warranty now.
looking forward to your comments and a realistic price. Thanks.

It seems to me to be about $10,000 overpriced.

Default Just sold my '08

A couple of things...

I just sold my '08 SWB with 15K miles for $39.7K on 1/6. Also, they have the interior listed as Grey. That interior is Alabaster (a.k.a. white) I had that interior on mine, very hard to keep clean!! I also looks like they put 19" wheels on it. Very nice. Is that car green? It looks like Smokey Granite to me

I think you're getting a fair deal. Does it have park assist? Otherwise, it looks loaded. Mark Levinson, sports package, adjustable suspension, reverse camera. It has the hard drive which doesn't come with newer models. And the mileage is really low. I wouldn't expect them to come a whole lot lower on their price... Maybe a few thousand...

offer $43K, but that car won't last long..somebody will buy it soon. I went through my trusty credit union for an extended warranty. Platinum bumper to bumper coverage to include ALL electronics including Levinson, HDD, and if i had air suspension, it would cover that too. Paid $1K for it with no deductible required. Car had 44K miles on it, the warranty covers me to 104K miles...pretty nice deal and piece of mind.

Yeah this one is Truffle Mica with Alabaster interior. It also has air suspension/VGRS, Luxury package, ML system, Lexus Link, intuitive parking assistant and advance parking guidance system.
Thanks to all you guys who commented. I think 43K would be a good offer as the last poster mentioned.

on the note of extended warranty the car has one month left on factory 4/50k warranty. If I buy lexus extended warranty it does not cover air suspension struts as I have read here on forums. My only concern is air struts as they are very expensive to replace. I would have opted for normal suspension but I cant find many LWB with normal suspension and in great condition. My credit union warranty does not seem to be that good as CJITTY has mentioned his. I am still in negotiations over this car and only air suspension is my worry. My previous 2005 LS430 was rock solid in reliability and it had regular suspension. Do you guys have any luck with other warranty companies or should I but money in bank rather than buying a warranty. Also can I take this car to Lexus dealer if i buy and tell them to replace rear struts as per LS460 TSBs I have seen on air suspension ?

i have recently bought a 2008 lexus certified LS460 base model with 38.5k miles for 38.5 k.it has few bells and whistles. With my knowledge on prices across the country do not buy the car anything above 44k.

44k is still a lot for this car.did you look at cars.com for pricing on a similar model.
I would suggest using cars.com and use all the filters to narrow down the search as it would give a feel of the car prices across the county

I think the price is reasonable. Seems loaded and it's an L? Do the rear seats recline? This is Md and the prices are higher in this region. A lot of people say check Ebay, car.com, etc, but I would only buy what I could put my hands on. I would offer them a couple thousand less but $6000 less won't fly. And I agree, the car won't be there long.

After reading this thread, I am really beginning to come to realize that I absolutely stole the 07 LS460L I just bought for $41K. Black with black leather, and every option under the sun, including the executive seating package and park assist. Oh, and it just broke a whopping 19K miles and was a Certified Pre-Owned, so I have the warranty for 3 years or 100K miles (which I'll never hit, given I don't drive that much). Best of luck with your purchase decision.

puppo420: If you want to, you can check the Lexus dealer servicing on your anticipated Lexus IF you know the VIN # and follow the instructions I wrote here:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...purchases.html

I am sure you are excited about all of this. Good having on Club Lexus, and good luck to you. We hope this link might help you. Best Wishes,

Mikey Lulejian - Lake Oconee, GA (Where so much for bass fishing as it's gonna get down to 22 tomorrow ..... LOL !)
