But it only has a 300 wear rating. That tire will be toast in Pittsburgh in under 15k miles.

I live in Houston and I can't imagine a tougher environment for tires , due to heat and almost all concrete roads, and in 10k miles my Michelin Primacys don't even show any wear. Also, for a tire that rides this smooth and handles this well, a 300 rating (roughly 30k miles) is pretty good in my book. Remember, the longer lasting the tire, the more ride comfort and drivability you give up.

Try AZ . I have seen the ambient temperatures at 124 degrees in the summer while driving through the desert to LA. I was feeling sorry for my poor Toyos I had on my G35 at the time. I was also cruising at about 85 mph the entire time. When I want to replace tires I always do it before the summer even if its a bit premature. In AZ a tire doesnt need to be bald to blow in the Summer
