ah i know vossens are the in thing butttt are we forgetting asanti, gfg, and etc are higher end wheels. multi piece are a little nicer. i dont recall being able to take off vossen wheel faces for customizing. if you get vossen you should get some money back because there is a price difference.

If you have the chance, definitely get the Forgiatos over the Vossens. Forgiatos are a high end wheel were as Vossen would be entry level. And before someone's feelings are hurt here, I've had both but the truth is the truth.

I have to agree with Lextrician, if you get Vossen, they should definitely give you some money back because again, Vossen is more of an entry level wheel. Good luck! Oh, I'm military too so I know how you feel being away from your car for a year. I've done the same thing.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose, but I thought this was interesting in case anyone is interested in the warranty between the two companies:

Vossen Warranty:

From Vossen's website

Our Industry Leading Warranty
Our warranty is a statement of confidence in the quality of our wheels. Every Vossen wheel is put through the highest standard in testing and quality control. These high standards allow us to provide an industry leading 5 year workmanship warranty and a lifetime structural warranty, which proves we stand behind our product 100%.

Within the first 5 years of ownership, if any defects in material or workmanship arise under normal and reasonable use when properly installed and maintained, Vossen Wheels will replace or refinish your wheels free of charge. Our lifetime structural warranty will guarantee the replacement of your wheel in the event of a structural failure caused by a manufacturer defect. Please contact us for our warranty guidelines and a return authorization number to file a claim.

We take great pride in the warranty that we offer to our customers. The bottom line is that a warranty is only as good as the company that stands behind it.

Forgiato Warranty

Their company website does not mention their wheel warranty, so I just called them directly and was told by their sales office it is one year. The salesperson did mention they just updated their site and the warranty is not yet posted.

I found this on another website selling Forgiato wheels

Warranty Information:

Listed below are the terms and conditions of Forgiato's warranty policy.
Forgiato reserves the right to change its warranty policy at any time, without notice.
Warranty claims must go through the authorized dealer which originally sold the wheel. The retail customer's receipt and the athorized dealer's invoice must be sent with the wheel. Forgiato will inspect and determine if the wheel will be covered under warranty. Forgiato is not responsible for shipping or transportation of wheels for warranty consideration.
Forgiato, will, at its discretion, repair, refinish, or replace wheels within one year of purchase date. No refunds, no exchanges. The wheels are warrantied for 12 months against the chrome cracking, peeling or other cosmetic defects, as long as proper maintenance has been done. Wheel corrosion is not covered. Other none chrome finishes are not covered under warranty

Good research but doesn't really matter. The fact of the matter is there are high end rims and then they're are entry level. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my Vossens when I had them, but if any one's budget allowed for a higher end rim, I can't see someone saying they would get Vossens over iForged, GFG, Forgiatos or something of that caliber.

There's a reason for the price difference. Warranty really shouldn't be a factor because if you hit a pothole in any rim, no one including Vossen will repair the wheel free of charge, nor will they replace them. If you have a problem with the finish, then maybe it's something with the way an individual cleans them. I've never had a problem with finish on any rim.

Would you choose Vossen over lets say, GFG or Forgiato if money wasn't a factor? That's all I'm saying. Again, nothing wrong with Vossen although it seems to be the rim of choice on this site, probably because of price, but there's really no comparison with a 1-piece rim versus a 2 or 3 piece rim. At the end of the day, get your situation worked out with the wrong rim cause it's always better to ride clean than ashy with factory rims!

Nash, Glad the wheel company is making the effort to help you out. I know in these times, a lot of less companies would of probably told you to kick rocks. All in all, you're in the drivers seat!

I feel like the minority here, also. Vosssen are cool and all but there are so many other great looking, quality wheels out there. I decided to go with Forgiatos because: (1) I love the looks of them (2) Not many LS's on them and (3) I didn't want to pull up to a Lexus gathering and be like everyone else on Vossens.

Now before I upset the masses here, I'm not bashing Vossen or anyone who runs them. There are tons of off the charts nice looking rides in here that are sitting on them but I say to the OP, take your time and look a little outside the box. You never know what might look super sweet and set off your ride.

Happy Hunting!

the entire price point is different between forgiatos and vossens -- some single forgiatos cost more each than an entire set of vossens. not sure how you can compare them, other than both are round and go on your car haha. it's like comparing a g-shock to a rolex or panerai -- they're both watches but so different in reputation and price point that you wouldn't cross shop the two

thanks cheez for +1 my point i know we live in a vossen world butt we are talking multipiece forged wheels vs. monoblock non forged wheels here. we all dont wanna be riding on the same style of wheels.

I bought Vossens because they were in my price point. I wanted to be able to get wheels and a big brake kit. If I had more money to put to wheels I would have. I think the newer concave wheels don't look like a higher-end wheel like my 083's. I had HRE's on my GS400 and they were old as hell and I ended up cracking 2 of the inner barrels on my set. No questions asked they told me to send in the wheels. They replaced both INNER and OUTER sections and gave me new center caps and valve stems all for a $100 labor fee. That was amazing service especially since they didn't even ask for proof of purchase.

Well just wanted to give yall an update on the wheels. My local wheel shop sent the faces to the machine shop and had the lug holes drilled to the correct fitment. Once we got ready to place the wheels on we noticed the front faces did not clear the front calipers. So we swapped the front and rear faces on the wheels and it magic. The wheels are on now and do not have any vibrations or rubbing with two people in the car. She looks amazing and i will be posting pics on my build thread shortly.
