OEM Michelin Tires
What is the exact model name and number of the OEM Michelin tires that will fit my 2009 LS460 AWD? I don't think they used Michelin in 2009, but I think they are now. My edge wear on the my PILOT SPORT A/S is getting worse and I am going to try to get Michelin to exchange them for whatever is Lexus is putting on now, if possible. Thanks!

Went through the same thing as you late last summer (FWIW) but for a different reason. Pilot Sports rode like crap and made the car pull like crazy - never buying that model again.

Did you get Michelin to fess up, or did you just suck it up? And thanks for that info!

However, these tires were practically new. Michelin has a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, and my point to them is that the only reason we were outside the 30-day period was a result of all the attempts to try to make the ride right before realizing these tires were the issue. That's how I got the OEM Michelins.

Yeah, but so are the problematic tires I have now!

I hear you, but there's one caveat: the Pilot Sport Plus tires are in a different category: ultra high performance all-season. The Primacy model is in the same category as the HX. It's also a moot point because it's unavailable for our size (I had looked), though I might get them for my OEM 19" wheels when I put them on this Spring.

Of the ones that people mention the most here, pretty much all are available, except the Primacy. Tirerack is ultimately the safest bet, but that's my recollection from searching before.
The Energy Saver tire that Craig has is most definitely available in 235 50 18.

The Pilot HX MXM4 only has a 300 wear rating. My experience in Pittsburgh is that tires last half of that number divided times 100. That would merely be 15,000 miles.
Doesn't anyone make a REAL tire for this car that will last a reasonable 30,000 - 35,000 miles?

Reviving this thread...
I have the Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 235/50-18
They are are a runflat (ZP) tire.
I've got 15,000 miles and they are worn past the wear bars on the inside edges... each tire... is this normal?
