Cooled seats...
How cold do your cooled seats get? We went on about a 50 mile trip (one way) today and had my cooled seat setting all the way on low, the whole time. To me, I never really felt it get that cool. Before we left the driveway I turned it on and you could hear the air go on. I know when I put the heated seats on they get hot fast!
So, do you notice a big temp drop in the cool position or should I have my system checked out?

Our cooled seats are not A/C seats like Cadillacs...now those are indeed cooled seata. I believe air just circulates in ours but the point is to keep them cooler than body temp I believe...I could be wrong

I agree with you guys.
I think the term "cool" is misleading. The air isn't cooled, it's just recirculated through the seat.

The LS460 seats are actually cooled by more than just recirculated air. They use thermoelectric-based cooling and heating similar to a solid-state cooler.
Go to the following site and follow the "Vehicles Featuring Amerigon's CCS" link and you will see the LS listed.

Some posts claim that the AC needs to be on for the seats to cool to the max. It is also important to not have anything blocking the back of the seat at the bottom as that is where the heat is exhausted (and not a good place to put the ice cream on a grocery shopping trip).

They are cooled but the effect is subtle. I've been told that the intent is to prevent sweating and not really blow a lot of cooled air. On max. you can feel the cool air by putting your hand close to the seat. It gets pretty warm in Atlanta in the summer and the cool setting does help.
