Try the Michelin Energy Saver A/S. Great tire so far smooth and quiet...

Based upon all the posts above, I am looking at Michelin or Bridgestone Serentiy tires for my 2007 LS 460L. Having just burned through Pirelli Nero Zero's in just 17,000 miles (Not purchasing those again!), I am looking for a quiet ride yet more mileage out of the tires. In talking with Costco and Discount Tire stores here in Arizona, they do not recommend the Serenity tires at all and are pro-Michelin HX MXM4 or MXV4 tires. Since snow is not of concern here in AZ (most posts reference snow conditions), is there anyone who is in the hotter parts of the country driving an LS 460L that can share their recommendation/experiences?

Tire Recommendations
I have owned only Michelin Top of the line tires on every vehicle I have owned. Touring Tires for the luxury vehicles, Pilot Sport PS2 A/S for the sportier cars and the MS2 LT for the SUV. I have been using only Michelins for tires since the 70's and have never had a problem and the wear has been exceptional. On a previous SUV I had 78,000 on them when I sold the vehicle and I know they would have been okay for another 8 to 10 thousand miles. Michelin also sells lower grade tires. I have never owned any, but I would imagine you get what you pay for these days. Other brands may be okay, but why leave a product that has been exceptional.

I have had the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity tires and they were great tires and very quiet. However after calling Tirerack the guy I talked to said the best all season tire they have tested was the Potenza RE970AS Pole Position. He said they were the best handling tire in bad weather conditions and what he would use for family safety. They are a little cheaper than the Turanza Serenity but their wear rating is 10,000 miles less. I am going to get these tires before winter and give them a try. They are rated very well by the user reviews on their site.

I too am looking for the quietest possible tire for my LS 460. A few contributors here have recommended the Michelin pilot MXM4. But even Michelin's website rates this tire as nine out of 10 for comfort, While giving the pilot Sport A/S plus a 10 out of 10 for comfort.
I just bought my 2007 LS 460. It currently has Michelin sport A/S 235/50 ZR 18 97Y M+S. I'm not impressed with the harsh ride.
After reading this thread I still Can't decide whether go with Bridgestone or Michelin.
