Default Picking up my 2008 CPO LS460 on Monday

I am picking up a 2008 certified pre-owned LS460 on Monday. I have not yet seen the car as it is out of state (Nevada) and I live in Colorado. I found a car with the colors and options I was looking for with an internet search and have driven two LS460s here in Colorado. I absolutely loved the cars I drove and can not wait to pick this one up. Car is red with a tan interior and has most of the available options except the adaptive cruise control.

Any thoughts on what if anything to check before the money changes hands? I have already seen the Carfax report and the service records for the CPO process. I have been assured (and will verify) that it has two fobs and a full set of manuals. I have been told that all the recall procedures are complete and that the 60K service has been done.

I assume that I will get some sort of a physical certificate for the CPO but would appreciate any insight in to that as well.

Thanks for your help.

make sure the drivers seat comfort is solid, check for the wind noise issue on both sides, and ask to see if the valve spring recall has been done.

This thread will be helpful -

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...ly-buying.html

Also, when you do your walk around, ask the salesperson to pull up the nav version on the screen. If it is the original version I believe it will read 7.1. The most recent version is 11.1. I would insist on the new version (particularly if the existing version has the dreaded "I agree" screen).

Let us know how it goes. And welcome to the Club!

Picked the car up yesterday and it is incredible, I was prepared to be very skeptical but was very impressed. The car ran and drove like a dream. It was a lease return and the previous owner took great care of it. Its a deep red color with a beige interior that the pictures did not do justice. As part of the purchase contract we had negotiated the navigation upgrade, however when we we started the car the "nag" screen appeared. Thanks to this forum I knew that this was removed by the latest nav version so was able to remind the dealer to get that "forgotten" item done. I would be pleased to help the group out however I can with the camber woes, just fill me in on the details. Took many pictures at the dealer and will post them soon.

Here are some pics taken at the dealer after the transaction was done. We had an incredible drive home (~1000 miles) and I continued to be amazed at the cars capability.

Congratulations! Glad that things worked out well for you and hope that you will enjoy your LS as much as I enjoy mine. You have a great color combination. You already know that the club members are always happy to be of assistance when you have questions. Good luck to you.

Welcome and congrats!! Lol...y'all beat me to it regarding FIGS. Actually, the OP would be another avenue for us to ask for help. The other CO member just PM'd me and should be chiming in on the FIGS thread very shortly...

OP..welcome once again but we may have some work for you to do in helping a vendor (FIGS) do some measurements for developing a LS460 camber kit. FIGS is in the Denver surrounding area

Interesting to hear that Danny. I seriously considered the S550 when I bought mine. The big deterrent for me was comparably equiped the S550 was about $25K more.

That, and purely subjective, I preferred both the interior and exterior styling of the LS a little better than the S.
