What is a good price for 30k service?
I recently called the dealership that I usually use for service, as my 2008 LS460 needs the 30k service. Now this is the 8th Lexus I've owned , so I know that this is a major service point. My service adviser told me it was going to cost $1050 for this service as it is the cars first major service. Well that blew me away. I called the other three Lexus dealers and found the cost ranged from about $500-600 dollars. Am I missing something or was the dealer I was using on a regular basis just hosing me? What have other people paid, or has anyone had a similar experience?

if i'm not mistaken, the 30k service is really just an oil change, air and cabin filter replacement, and inspection. i'd have the dealer do an oil change (which includes an inspection) which costs about $120 here in los angeles (which is ridiculous anyway), and change the air and cabin filters yourself -- the owners manual has clear instructions on how to change them. it's super easy and takes 10 minutes at most

The 30k that I had performed on my 08 LS460 a month ago included radiator flush, brake fluid flush, oil change, rotate / balance all tires, differential fluid change, and full inspection (should provide you with brake pad measurements). I might be missing something, but that is most of it. Cost me ~$500, got a loaner, and four hours later it was good to go. Performed at Lexus of Shreveport, LA.
