Hello,
I'm a total newbie to Lexus after driving 4 Mercedes in a row. I'm about to close a deal on a Starfire Pearl, 2010 Certified Pre-Owned LS 460 with Luxury Value Package, Preferred Accessories Package, parking sensors, heated rear seats, 19" wheels (not sport package). The car is one owner, off lease with 46,000 miles.
I have negotiated the dealer down to 45,500 +++ (they've had it for 60 days)
Is this a fair deal, and do I want to extend the warranty beyond the CPO period? I drive about 20k miles per year.

I think it sounds fair. It's loaded and it is in a nice color. I think youre going to love it. The extended warranty will run you about $2800-$3600 (100K or new platinum 125K). Congrats buddy. I am sure it will bring you many happy years of motoring

That sounds like a good deal, starfire pearl looks amazing at night, I am yet to see a better white color on any other brand. They are also pretty rare, it took me a while to find my starfire pearl 460L
Just curious why are you switching from the Mercedes?

Frustrating doesn't begin to describe the process. I had purchased the extended warranty that would've taken me 3 more years or up to 135K miles, but I don't want to USE the warranty. I just want to know it's there.
Bottom line: I'm not spending anymore time in anyone's service department. I have better things to do. I'm the only member of my family that doesn't drive a Lexus or hasn't at some time, and they don't seem to have this issue. After looking at many different vehicles, I decided the CPO LS 460 was my best bet.
Let's hope I'm right.
