I'm gonna do that... Take it all apart again, check the pins and put it all back together and see if that works.

That sounds vaguely familiar. I was reinstalling the bypass after Lexus did the dash removal thing, and when done the audio was always off. Fussed with it for hours. Eventually noticed that I had put one of the connectors into a jack that was supposed to be empty. Fit in perfectly! Put it in the right place and everything worked well. I think the clock didn't light up with the connector in the wrong place. IIRC, it was one of the smaller connectors close to the top of the unit.

Well, I didn't find andy misplaced connectors or bent pins and the radio still isn't working, but I did notice that not only do the radio controls on the steering wheel for the radio not working, or at least not making the radio come on, but the telephone button isn't working either, but the display button on the steering wheel does work for the information center.

I checked for fueses that my affect the steering wheel controls but didn't see any.

I'm coming to the conclusion that I may have burnt out the dvd changer some how, but to verify that I need to see if I can get my hands on another one and plug it in to see if it will work, if so, then it's the dvd changer, if it doesn't then it's something else... I still have a glimmer of hope that it's a simple fix somewhere in there tho.

Thanks HyperMKIV... I got a lil deflated today after pulling all the fuses from the inside and checking the 2 fuse boxes under the hood and the 1 in the trunk and not finding any blown fuses.

Usually no blown fuses is a good thing, but not this time. It means I'm gonna be out of some money because it's not as simple as I hoped it would be. I thought I had finally concrete evidence that it was a fuse because my power side view mirrors mysteriously wasn't working either, but after pulling and checking the fuses, they were working again, not so much the radio tho.

So now i'm back to square one. I have a friend with an LS460 also. I wonder if I can get him to let me pull his radio out and connect it to my car to see if it works, then I would know for sure that it's my radio.

Anybody else have any other ideas of things to try? (I did remove the Beat Sonic dvd bypass, so now it's just like it was before, except not working)

If your module is like the Prestigous society module, the instructions bring attention to the fact that you should not unplug the clock connector because if you accidentally make the wrong connections, it will severely damage the cd/radio unit. Could you have possibly done this?

I actually didn't unplug the clock, but I think I unscrewed everything that had to do with the dvd changer, and that was before I even got the module close to being installed. That's actually when the damage was done.

I'm gonna go ahead and take it to the dealership this weekend and most likely end up buying a new dvd changer, which is gonna be a lot more than I would normally pay for a head unit. I'm still hoping that they could just fix it for a lot less than the price of a new unit... We'll see.
