Everytime I open the door to get out of my 08 LS460 the warning bell rings incessantly.
The only thing I can think of is that I'm usually in a parking garage and the lights are on due to the auto-feature on the lights. But, I think sometimes it rings even though the lights aren't on.
Sometimes you open the door but don't jump right out of the car. Is there anyway to disable this ringing bell?
Thanks,
jpf

Do you wear your seatbelt?
Do you keep your seatbelt on until you kill the ignition?
Do you enable the HOLD feature?
Do you have a passenger with you when this occurs?

I love warning bells. I wish Lexus would add more, and I also wish they would add a feature that cuts my steak for me in to little pieces and feeds it to me like a choo-choo train.

Then I could answer and give my input. Again .... this in only a thought IN CASE a thread like this <"Things I wish Lexus would add for us"> is ever started.
A) A No Start feature on a LS460 until you have read at least once the Owner's Manual. -

B) A total LS460 vehicle disabling feature unless you can PROVE you have used - and can use - and WILL use - a "Search engine" (like Google) on the web. -

I feel those two items ARE doable.

Uhh, well yes, I do occasionally open the door before turning off the car and that's when it beeps I actually figured it out even before I read some of the snarky responses.

If you interpreted my responses to be "snarky," I apologize. My only intention was to be helpful.
