I was going to, but when they told me they weren't sure how many quarts it held even though I told them..I got scurred and just bought my syn oil from Walmart and took it to Lexus and they did all the labor for $26..its quite a bit cheaper than the Lexus synthetic oil change price doing it.that way.

Call ahead to be sure..every dealer is different. The two that i called were the same price. One was around $30, the others $26. I would suggest ordering the OEM oil filters online in bulk (3 pack I think) and then bring one with you..might be able to save a little more. What is good about this is they enter in the oil change service on the vehicle history, top fluids and check all that other stuff as part of the service. I normally buy the Mobil 1 Full Syn from wally world..two 5 qt jugs at around $27 each iirc. I think the full synthetic service at the dealer was around $125 or something like that. The car takes 9.1 quarts, thirsty ol beasts

Yes, I take my LS 460 as well as my GX 460 to my local Toyota dealer for oil changes. I live 120 miles
each direction from my Lexus dealer. They have no problems changing my oil and have the filters in stock as well as the 0W20 synthetic oil. I make an appt. and it takes about a half hour.

I have taken my LS to the Toyota dealer for an oil change. It's $79 instead of of $125. The Toyota dealer is 20 miles closer than the Lexus dealer, and they seem to be more than happy to work on the Lexus.

I guess I live on a different planet than most....if you took a Lexus dealer here your Walmart oil to use in an oil change they would show you the door so fast your head would spin.

I occasionally take my all my Lexus cars to the Toyota dealership over in Henderson but I can't stand the wait. Now that the Lexus in Henderson dealership is open, I just take my car there whenever I don't feel like changing the oil myself (summer time).

Default Oil change in LS460

I used to take my GS350AWD to toyota for oil change. But the LS manual states that Toyota dealers do not have access to the proper filter for the LS460. I have the AWD and that sucker takes 9.5 quarts of oil.

A bit off topic, but will you be able to go 10K with Lexus' full synthetic oil change?

The dealer doesn't know where you bought your oil from..what are you talking about? Its not WalMart brand oil! Buy two 5qt jugs of your preferred oil like Mobil 1 Full Synthetic or Castrol or Pennzoil..whatever you choose..Lexus is just doing the labor
