Someone will be offended by this, but they do look identical. The model badge needs to be much bigger so people can read what it is.
well i am just stating what i experienced. not that i would mistake between the two, but in some way i understand how it happened. i hate to say but i did mistake the ct as new gs once before as well when i saw it in my mirror.
of course, same can be said about bmw and audi, they all have similar design these days.
the only one that's still so different would be mb
The '13 LS is a huge improvement from the previous but I'm not sure it will sway enough people away from the long-held recognition of the 7er and S-Klasse, especially with the side view pretty much the same as the old model.

As obsessed as me about telling cars apart on the street, now it takes me 2~3 seconds to focus my eyes before I can tell a GS from a LS now, or a CT from a GS. As oppose to before it take 0.000001 seconds to tell a 2GS from a 3LS. Of course I can still tell them apart, but is not an instant thing.

Yup, same here. The very first 4GS I saw on the street in my mirror, I 100% thought it was a CT. Even now it take me a second to tell.

Agreed 100%.
Why you think I prefer a Bentley? Even if it is consider as ugly to some, it still look very different. I don't want to spend money on a fancy car that looks identical to every car on the street.
So I see this 600 F is LHD with Cali manufacturer plate and looks like it is in California, does this mean this might be available in the U.S. in the future?
They usually don't show it to the public if they don't intent to sell it there. If they just bring one over for design study, it would be locked behind closed door.
so apparently production models have same stance as the show one... slow clap for Lexus?
It is interesting how many people are quick to point out what they think will be the downfall of new model, and when it proves wrong, they just move to something else :-).
So many people criticized Lexus for raised stance, so lets give it to Lexus now :P
(i love raised stance though, bad for me )
Even though the door sheet metal is the same. Why? Different contact points and controls, different suspension, new tranny firmware and stiffened chassis. These are culminated in the F Sport which is 20mm lower than the standard suspension and 10mm lower than the air suspension. New never before gadgets like blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic alert, climate concierge and advanced Pre collision system with total stopping. It doesn't really resemble the '12 except in the side view. The updated interior is progressive and elegant.
The paradigm has shifted and the reaction will be freshly formed.

Yes I am aware it's a heavily reworked current body. That's my point. Looking straight from the front and rear nobody would know it is, but from the sides, it's obvious it is.
Maybe I need to get my eyes check. But you guys really fine that pic very attractive? It's ok but beautiful.
Maybe I need to see one in white or black.
