I really, REALLY want this mod, but after reading the VAIStech support forum, seems like there are some issues and things that don't quite work right. I'm going to sit this out for a minute to see if the newer units will have some firmware updates to fix some of these things I am reading about. Props to Vaistech for even putting a mod like this out, it looks great, I just want some more feedback from a 460/600 perspective...I'll volunteer for testing however
Here is the VAIS support forum talking about this http://www.vaistech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1597

The last I heard from Eugene at Vaistech was in January, and he told me he would inform me when it would be compatible with my car. I just sent him a follow up e-mail to see if there is any progress. Would love to see an iphone version of what they have for the androids.
**cough** IP5 FTW **cough**

Well, I'm officially screwed lol. This is what they sent me
"Adam,
Unfortunately we were not able to make this car compatible and still
keep the back up camera. I'm sorry."
Sucks, but I'm not to disappointed. Since I have a nice place to put my iPad in my car, I just control everything from there and have the connect ability through either Bluetooth or aux which is decent enough for me.

oh I so want this for my LS! Chrstmas might come early this year
anyhow I am a bit weary of first gen problems and might wait aswell.
I saw something mentioned about self park feature being a prerequisite for this work? really? or were they talking about a certain feature of the system that needs self park?
anyhow, if we get this to work properly this will be a major improvement to the car's navigation (Google Nav!!! ) and to the car's media capabilities (internet on the Nav screen and so on..)
I am stoked!

email vaistech for compatibility. you need to have certain packages for the system to work mainly due to how the internal electronic works on the factory system.
the system has been out for a while, i know vaistech had some firmware updates to fix bugs and issues. also it's not hard to update (using usb sticks). i have done it plenty of times

what options does your car have? does the system work flawlessly for you/? are you happy with it?

well, crap, my car is not compatible according to Eugene at Vais. needs to have self park to work properly otherwise the IVIC disables the back up camera in a non-self park LS..(I do have the park assistr package but that does not help)
oh well, hope they get it to work in the near future though he said they tried their best and nothing yet
